Passport-style photos are used for different documents and application routes. Do not assume that one crop is appropriate for every Indian or overseas application. Read the current instructions supplied by the authority handling your document before using any photo tool. This page describes UtilityHub's capabilities, not official passport specifications.
What this tool actually makes
UtilityHub's Passport Photo Maker uses a fixed 35 × 45 mm crop ratio. It produces a 700 × 900 pixel single-photo image and a 1200 × 1800 pixel sheet laid out for 4 × 6 inch printing. It does not offer every country's preset, a two-inch-square crop or an A4 sheet option.
The tool does not replace the background. Start with a photograph that already meets your destination's background and lighting instructions. It does not verify identity, measure official face-position rules or certify that the result will be accepted.
Make and inspect your copy
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP smaller than 20MB.
- Use zoom and position controls to frame the photo.
- Check the preview for cropped edges and visible detail.
- Download the single photo or printable sheet.
Processing happens in your browser. Keep the original photograph and inspect the actual download at a useful zoom level. A neat crop cannot correct a blurred or unsuitable source photograph. If the required crop is different from 35 × 45 mm, do not use this fixed-ratio output as a replacement.
Printing and digital submission are different
For a physical print, choose the corresponding paper size and check the print settings. Scaling or fit-to-page options can change the physical dimensions. Measure the finished print against the authority's instructions rather than assuming the pixel dimensions guarantee a particular print size.
For a digital upload, check the required pixel dimensions, file format and size limit separately. A printable sheet is not interchangeable with a single-photo upload. If the portal rejects a file, review its specific error and requirements before editing again.
